The T.E.A. Machine, or Tempestae Etching Apparatus, is a machine used in the Stonemason profession, which players can load with up to 6 stones to be etched prior to using them for crafting.
In order to use the T.E.A. Machine, it must be loaded with gas, obtained by first harvesting an empty gas leech in the Leech Pools, then filling it from gas vents in the Gassy Grotto to produce a full gas leech.
The T.E.A. Machine requires 1 gas per batch of stones, and can hold up to 1000 gas at a time. Each leech adds 10 gas to the gas tank, so filling the machine fully requires 100 leeches.
Process Edit
First the T.E.A. Machine must be loaded with stones. Up to 6 stones of the same type may be loaded into the machine one at a time, each taking 2 seconds.
Then the button is pressed, which activates the etching process. Regardless of the number of stones in the machine, this process takes the same amount of time and consumes 1 gas.
Lastly, the etched stones are removed from the machine all at once. Experience and knowledge is awarded at this step.
In total, etching a batch of 6 stones takes 27 seconds, which averages to 4.66 seconds per stone. However a stone etched individually will take 17 seconds, so it is highly recommended to etch stones in batches.
If at any point the process is aborted, the un-etched stones will be returned to the players inventory, even if the etching part of the process has been completed and the gas has been consumed.
