Leatherworker is a type of profession.
Tanning[edit | edit source]
Animal hides can be purchased from Franz at the Waterfront hide stall. They can then be tanned in the Tannery in the south-east of Crenopolis.
Leather can either be stored in the cupboard in Leatherworks or sold at the Leather Stall in the Outer Market.
Levelling the Merchant profession can provide a discount for buying hides. Discounted hides can be bought for the sell value, greatly increasing profits.
Each workstation processes items at slightly varying speeds, with the fastest being the Liming Pit at 3.3 seconds per item, and the slowest being the Soaking Tub at 4.3 seconds per item.
Unlocks[edit | edit source]
Leather items are made at the Tannery. Profit values assume that all hides are purchased from the Hide Stall and all produced leathers are sold to the Leather Stall. The hourly rates assume that for every inventory of 24 hides, 100 seconds is spent on travelling between the tannery, leather stall, hide stall, and back to the tannery, as well as between stations within the tannery and the time spent at leatherworker actions.
Your own XP and profit rates may vary if you collect your own materials or spend separate time buying and depositing them.
Discounts on Hides[edit | edit source]
The Merchant level requirements for hide discounts outpace the Leatherworker level requirements for hide crafting up until around level 300. The gap is largest favoring Merchant at early levels (20-60) and largest favoring Leatherworker at later levels (400-450). The relationship between Leatherworker and Merchant does not appear to be derived by a formula due to its erratic nature. The graph below visualizes the relationship between Leatherworker and Merchant. The blue line represents a hypothetical "perfect" relationship where the Leatherworker level to unlock hide crafting matches the Merchant level to unlock the hide discount. The orange line represents the actual relationship between Leatherworker and Merchant.
Passive activities[edit | edit source]
Leatherworker passive activities are of two types: passive recipes which use leather offcuts to make passive items at the Leatherworker's Bench that can be sold, and Upholstery work the uses no resources but only awards XP and coins. Profit values for recipes assume that all materials are purchased from the Leather Stall and all products are sold to Leather Goods.
Your own XP and profit rates may vary if you collect your own materials or spend separate time buying and depositing them.
Passive activities give reduced experience when a players level is high enough to perform a new passive activity for that profession. The numbers shown here are the full experience.
Capes of Accomplishment[edit | edit source]
The Leatherworker Cape is a group of equipment unlocked by achieving various milestones in leveling of the Leatherworker profession and can be purchased from Daguer at The Cloakroom located in Hopeport.
