Carpenter is a type of profession.

The following page lists methodologies to calculate/approximate Carpenter EXP hourly rates.

Methods and Example Calculations[edit | edit source]

1) Use only the Circular Saw to mill logs.[edit | edit source]

This method only applies to Ash and Juniper logs as they can only be processed once with the Circular Saw to create planks and assumes that a player already banked the logs in the Lumber Bank.

This method takes approximately ~97 seconds to perform the below steps; it takes approximately 1 hour to mill ~445.3608 logs.

  1. Withdraw 12 logs from the Lumber Bank
  2. Run over and saw the 12 logs with the Circular Saw
  3. Sell the planks/staves to the Timber Merchant Shop
  4. Run back over to the Lumber Bank
  5. Repeat

The multiplier 445.3608 can be used to approximate the hourly EXP rate of Ash and Juniper logs.

Lvl Req. Raw Material XP (Raw Material) Approximate EXP per hour
0 Coarse Ash Log 56 24,940
8 Coarse Juniper Log 70 31,175
16 Rugged Ash Log 89 39,637
35 Rugged Juniper Log 140 62,350
67 Average Ash Log 255 113,567
96 Average Juniper Log

2) Use both of the Circular Saw and Wood Lathe to mill logs.[edit | edit source]

This method assumes that logs are already banked in the Lumber Bank This method takes approximately ~180 seconds to perform the below steps; it takes approximately 1 hour to mill ~240 logs.

  1. Withdraw 12 logs from the Lumber Bank
  2. Run over and saw the 12 logs with the Circular Saw
  3. Run over and turn the 24 poles with the Wood Lathe
  4. Sell the Poles to the Timber Merchant Shop
  5. Run back over to the Lumber Bank
  6. Repeat

The multiplier 240 can be used to approximate the hourly EXP rate for carpentry.

3) Purchase logs from the Gwen's Lumber shop use both of the Circular Saw and Wood Lathe to mill logs[edit | edit source]

This method involves purchasing logs from the shop at Gwen's Lumber.

This method takes approximately ~394 seconds to perform the below steps; it takes approximately 1 hour to mill ~219.2893 logs.

  1. Purchase 24 logs from Gwen's Lumber
  2. Bank 12 logs into the Lumber Bank
  3. Saw the 12 logs with the Circular Saw
  4. Turn the 24 poles with the Wood Lathe
  5. Sell the 24 lathed Poles to the Timber Merchant Shop
  6. Withdraw 12 logs from the Lumber Bank
  7. Saw the 12 logs with the Circular Saw
  8. Turn the 24 poles with the Wood Lathe
  9. Sell the 24 turned Poles to the Timber Merchant Shop
  10. Repeat

The multiplier 219.2893 can be used to approximate the cost/hour rate for carpentry.
