Walkthrough[edit | edit source]

Getting There[edit | edit source]

From the Town Square of Hopeport, head east through Old Street West and Old Street East to reach the Town Gates. We'll need to head north into the North Walls, fighting or dodging a Level 6 aggressive Goblin while climbing the staircase before heading south along the wall into Town Gates.

Introduction[edit | edit source]

Speak with Commander Hackett before asking him;

Cutscene Warning: Select; Option 3: "Do you need any help up here Sir?".

He will inform you that Goblin incursions are wearing down men and equipment. He just received a new shipment, and that the key to open it is arriving separately for security reasons. "I've got a man fetching is fetching it now".

The Key[edit | edit source]

A cutscene plays, showing Andrath arriving with the key, before a Goblin Thief snatches it and runs south. Commander Hackett orders you to catch it.

Run south into South Walls and kill the Level 10 Goblin Thief. This is an easy fight, but it's recommended to bring a 10% Potion Healing in case of bad RNG. You can craft one via Alchemist at Level 0. The Goblin Thief will use Infernae damage. After the fight, you will receive Commander Hackett's Crate Key.

Head back north into Town Gates and use the key on Commander Hackett. He will open the chest and notice that two of the swords are untuned, and inform you that equipment in Adothria has been tuned at magic obelisks, to be powerful within their vicinity. Equipment untuned remains comparatively weaker. He give's you 2x Uncommon Wall Guard's Swords two tune so that they become usable in Hopeport.

The Obelisk in Hopeport is located in Hopeport Obelisk south from Brannof Boulevard.

The Obelisk[edit | edit source]

Option 1 Walk: Head back through the North Walls, trying to avoid a Level 6 aggressive Goblin before going back west until you reach the Town Square. As soon as you go west into Brannof Boulevard, take a southern turn into Hopeport Obelisk.

Option 2 Teleport/Walk: Use the Spells; Teleport and head to Hopeport, before running South East through Training Ground before going directly south of Stone Street. As soon as you go west into Brannof Boulevard, take a southern turn into Hopeport Obelisk.

Channette and Corporal Merissina seem to be stuck fixing the Obelisk. Speak with them and

Select; Option 2: "Could I help fix it?".

You are told that the Obelisk was damaged during the Goblin attack, and that a downspike is missing. They have an idea of where it went, due to the Obelisk being on a fast flowing river.

The Missing Piece[edit | edit source]

In order to follow the river which head's east, we need to loop back up north into Brannof Boulevard, east to the Town Square. Heading south, we end up at the Eel Street Bridge. Head south to Eel Street and east to reach Wilhope Crossing. The Missing Obelisk Spike is located on the west wall in the river, step off the bridge north. Located next to Eels for Fisher profession. Click on it to receive the Key Item. Now head back to Hopeport Obelisk.

The Tablet[edit | edit source]

Cutscene Warning: After arriving at the Obelisk, use the Missing Obelisk Spike on it to trigger a cutscene.

You attempt to attach the piece which doesn't fit. Corporal Merissina makes an attempt and notices that plumes of magic ice are holding the other spikes in place. Corporal Merissina hands you a Instruction Tablet she was given by Captain Jal Degreene, which shows the repair steps to fix it. She "...can't make head nor tail of it".

Open your Quest Log (Default Hotkey; Q) and open the Instruction Tablet Key Item.

Talk to Corporal Merissina once more, you acknowledge that you can't make any sense of it either. Corporal Merissina will speak of Naybeth the Philosopher, an old philosopher who's "...very much into ancient cultures and the like". She wants you to go see her at her residence near the Town Gates.

Naybeth the Philosopher[edit | edit source]

Head back east from the Town Square until you reach the Town Gates. Head south, slightly west of the centre of the room to enter Naybeth's House. After speaking with her, Naybeth wonders if you're a figment of her imagination.

select; Option 3: "I'm told you might be able to help me interpret this tablet".

Naybeth notices that the symbols appear to be in the ancient language Cren. She managed to rescue some tablets when Captain Jal Degreene was having a clean out.

You will receive four Sigil Tile Key Items.

Repairing the Obelisk[edit | edit source]

Head back to Hopeport Obelisk, we will now need to use each Sigil Tile on it's correct Ancient Post. There are four at the corners of the room.

In order of Key Items within the Quest Log from left to right and top to bottom;

Cutscene Warning after Tablet 4 Usage

Use Tablet 1 in the North East Ancient Post

Use Tablet 2 in the North East Ancient Post

Use Tablet 3 in the North East Ancient Post

Use Tablet 4 in the North East Ancient Post

The Magic Suppressor[edit | edit source]

After placing all of the Tablet's on their respective pillars, a cutscene triggers and Wellambran the Cryoknight appears wondering what the emergency summon is for. Speak with Wellambran the Cryoknight, and he will ask you why he has been summoned.

Select: Option 1: "This obelisk is broken".

Wellambran the Cryoknight notices that the cryojet is broken, requiring a simple fix. He tries to cast a spell but is left on confusion when his magic doesn't work.

Select: Option 2: "Maybe our magic suppressor is blocking you".

Wellambran the Cryoknight needs the suppressor turned off in order to fix the cryojet with some magic.

Head to the Training Ground via Teleport to Hopeport or by walking north of Stone Street. Speak with Anjay Sandorman and

Select: Option 4: "We need you to grant magic access to a Cryoknight".

Anjay Sandorman notes that no one has seen a Cryoknight in years, and that he didn't even though they still existed. Surprised, he tells you to meet him at Hopeport Obelisk.

Head back to Hopeport Obelisk via Brannof Boulevard and speak with Anjay Sandorman again to trigger a scene. Anjay cannot believe he is seeing a Cryoknight, while Wellambran the Cryoknight is surprised that Anjay Sandorman himself is a magic suppressor.

After a short conversation, Anjay notes that Wellambran's aura feels quite familiar. Wellambran the Cryoknight casts a spell and asks you to try fix the spike now.

Quest Completion[edit | edit source]

Click the Obelisk and use Key Item Missing Obelisk Spike. The Obelisk is now fixed, and you now have the ability to tune equipment to Hopeport and other areas. Each Episode has it's own Obelisk for Tuning any un-tuned Weapons or Armor. Click the Obelisk and use your Uncommon Wall Guard's Swords on it, before heading back to Town Gates to use them on Commander Hackett.
