Recruit's Sword is a weapon given to the player by the Quartermaster (NPC) in the Welcome to the Guard portion of the Main Story quest in 
Hopeport. If lost, players may speak to the Quartermaster to obtain another one for free.
It is functionally identical to a Guard's Sword, refer to that item for its combat stats.
