Plate Legs is piece of Armor for the Cryoknight faction, worn in the legs slot. All enemies capable of dropping combat equipment have a chance to drop Plate Legs, provided that the player has progressed through the main story to the point where they have chosen a Faction, as before this point only non-faction equipment can be received.

Players who have chosen the Cryoknight faction are able to receive Plate Legs in Common, Uncommon, Rare, or Epic Rarity. Players who chose the Hammermage or Guardian factions will receive Plate Legs much less frequently, and only in Rare rarity, as these items are intended for other factions to use with the Infusion system to make Epic rarity armor for their own faction.

Plate Legs are also able to be crafted by the Armorer profession, at an item level up to the Armorer level of the crafter.

Variants[edit | edit source]

The visual appearance of Plate Legs is dependent only on its level. Plate Legs crafted by the Armorer profession use different variants of the materials for each different visual appearance of the Plate Legs.

Combat Stats[edit | edit source]

As a piece of Armor, Plate Legs have resistance stats for all 6 damage types. The total resistance of Plate Legs obeys a rigid formula with no variation:

Strength=6×L+90×R+10

Where

  • L is the Item Level
  • R is the Rarity, expressed as number of stars

This total resistance is divided up between the 6 damage types with some variation for each individual value. Since the armor is for the Cryoknight faction, the Tempestae resistance will be on average 20 points lower than that of the other damage types. See Armor for a more detailed explanation of how resistances are calculated.

From this formula it can be seen that each increase in Rarity of Plate Legs is equivalent to 15 additional levels. Thus Plate Legs at level 0 Epic, at level 15 Rare, at level 30 Uncommon, or at level 45 Common will all have exactly the same total resistance of 370.

A list of all different level and rarity combinations of Plate Legs, including their sell values, can be found here:
