From this formula it can be seen that each increase in Rarity of a Wooden Hexagon Shield is equivalent to 15 additional levels. Thus a Wooden Hexagon Shield at level 0 {{Epic}}, at level 15 {{Rare}}, at level 30 {{Uncommon}}, or at level 45 {{Common}} will all have exactly the same total resistance of '''370'''.

A Wooden Hexagon Shield is piece of Armor for the Guardian faction. All enemies capable of dropping combat equipment have a chance to drop Wooden Hexagon Shields, provided that the player has progressed through the main story to the point where they have chosen a Faction, as before this point only non-faction equipment can be received.

Players who have chosen the Guardian faction are able to receive Wooden Hexagon Shields in Common, Uncommon, Rare, or Epic Rarity. Players who chose the Hammermage or Cryoknight factions will receive Wooden Hexagon Shields much less frequently, and only in Rare rarity, as these items are intended for other factions to use with the Infusion system to make Epic rarity shields for their own faction.

Wooden Hexagon Shields are also able to be crafted by the Bonewright profession, at an item level up to the Bonewright level of the crafter. Different level ranges of Wooden Hexagon Shield require different variants of the materials, but they all require 3 Femur Shard (Brewed) and 3 Ash Planks.

Variants

The visual appearance of a Wooden Hexagon Shield is dependent only on its level. Wooden Hexagon Shields crafted by the Bonewright profession use different variants of the materials for each different visual appearance of the Wooden Hexagon Shield.

Combat Stats

As a piece of Armor, Wooden Hexagon Shields have resistance stats for all 6 damage types. The total resistance of a Wooden Hexagon Shield obeys a rigid formula with no variation:

Strength=6×L+90×R+10

Where

  • L is the Item Level
  • R is the Rarity, expressed as number of stars

This total resistance is divided up between the 6 damage types with some variation for each individual value. Since the shield is for the Guardian faction, the Cryonae resistance will be on average 20 points lower than that of the other damage types. See Armor for a more detailed explanation of how resistances are calculated.

From this formula it can be seen that each increase in Rarity of a Wooden Hexagon Shield is equivalent to 15 additional levels. Thus a Wooden Hexagon Shield at level 0 Epic, at level 15 Rare, at level 30 Uncommon, or at level 45 Common will all have exactly the same total resistance of 370.

A list of all different level and rarity combinations of Wooden Hexagon Shields, including their sell values, can be found here:
