Knowledge is a game mechanic that is unlocked when reaching level 20 in any profession.

While doing an action that yields experience of any kind, except while doing passive activities, a bar in the professions interface will fill up at a fixed amount, dependent on the action. For example, defeating a creature in combat that is around your level yields about 3% of a knowledge point (0%~5.5% depending on the monster's level, as well as the level difference between the player and monster). Knowledge can overflow past 100% up until it is capped at 200%. It is recommended to spend your knowledge before it hits the cap.

Using Knowledge Points[edit | edit source]

Upon reaching 100%, a knowledge point (KP) can be used in one of the following ways:

  • Unlock a passive activity - visit the page for a table with links to all unlockable passive activities by profession.
    • Higher level passive activities for a profession can only be unlocked by unlocking the previous activities first. Passive activities take 1 knowledge point to unlock each until level 200 is reached. Then they take 4 each.
  • Gain coins, the base amount at level 20 is 12 Silver. The amount of coins is variable, the formula is Silver plus 300 Copper for every level in the players highest profession level
    • 156 Silver is the maximum amount possible, at the highest profession level of 500.
  • Earn experience for any profession level 20 or above, equating to roughly 25% of the experience between the current and next level.
    • Once level 200 is reached, that percentage drops down to 6.25%.
    • This can be boosted by an XP potion.
  • Save for later.
    • Once 100% is reached, you can explicitly choose to save a knowledge point to use later. This prevents the knowledge rewards menu from continuing to pop up until you reach 200%.
