Overview

UNDER CONSTRUCTION AS WE SPEAK, I LOST FOUR HOURS OF WRITING DUE TO MY BROWSER CLOSING, SO I'M SAVING MY PROGRESS.

The previous version of this guide was incorrect, even the checklist was incorrect. Currently up to the restaurant cutscene. Will finish within the next two to three hours hopefully. There's a lot of linking and writing from scratch/re-writing content.

Walkthrough

Quest start

To start this quest, you must speak to Cohen in Brannof's Dining Room. You can access this by heading west from Hopeports Town Square through Brannof Boulevard. Once inside Brannof Hall's Hallway you must enter the room west.

Speak to Cohen and he will question why you stand under his feet.

Select Option 4: "I'm here on behalf of the city guard. You needed help with something?"

Cohen feels disrespected by the city guard for sending a recruit.

Select Option 2: "So what do you need?"

You are informed that a sizeable shipment of Carthian Plumbatae has been lost. They were shipped to Hopeport on a boat named The Vincible, but they were claimed by a miscreant pretending to work for Cohen. He has made some inquiries but due to being a known representative of Lord Brannof, Hopeports less savoury characters decide to keep their mouths shut. You are to find information on who has the shipment, then report back to Cohen.

Select Option 1: "Where should I start looking?"

Cohen recommends that you speak to Captain Shirker of the Vincible, but also to ask around The Hooked Hand as some of the clientele there should know if there are any stolen goods to be bought. Cohen warns you to not reveal that you're a guard.

The Hooked Hand

To reach The Hooked Hand, head to Hopeport Town Square and head directly south through the Eel Street Bridge and Eel Street to reach the Central Waterfront. Head slightly west then north down the stairs to arrive at the entrance.

Before entering, remove all Armor which contains the word Guard or no one will speak with you. It's best to keep this off until you need it for the fight near the end of the quest, as multiple NPC's won't speak to you with them on.

Head inside and speak with Nelson or Wellington, who are sitting on the table on the east side of the establishment.

Wellington asks you how he can help, before Nelson questions why he would offer if he wasn't going to help in the first place.

Select Option 4: "I wish I could find a seller of Carthian Plumbatae"

Nelson states that they don't sell exotic fruits, before Wellington recommends you try the great drinks and sausage rolls at the bar. Nelson asks Wellington why he delivered a sales pitch. Wellington states that he is paid by Grood to advertise the tavern, but doesn't want to leave, and only bothers to do so if the public walk into the establishment.

You complain how hard it is to buy combat equipment these days, stating that you think Lord Brannof is trying to keep us in line, by restricting the weapon supply.

Harris Slant walks over to the table and couldn't help but overhear that you're looking for Carthian Plumbatae. He knows someone who could help. You are given a warning to respect the confidentiality of the arrangement, or things could end badly for you.

Selection Option 1: "Who is this person that can supply me?"

Harris says that no one knows his real name, and some don't even believe he exists. He is known as The Illusion. He has a method of business which provides anonymity before asking you if you have heard of The Frequently Fresh Fish Stall.

Selection Option 2: "I'm not familiar with it"

You are informed that the stall acts as a secret method of communication. You can stuff a Fetid Flounder with a message and send it to The Illusion directly. It's an that tastes foul, and no one normally buys them. It sits on the stall until one of The Illusion's operatives collects it. You might be able to catch one at the Overgrown Pond.

You can now end the conversation and start heading to speak with Captain Shirker at the Vincible.

Captain Shirker

Head south outside the doors of the Tavern, and start heading east over the Boardwalk to reach the East Waterfront. Head south onto the eastern pier to reach the Vincible. Head onto the boat and speak with Captain Shirker who is at the wheel of the ship.

The Captain will state that he's bored due to an accursed storm blocking him in.

Select Option 2: "Maybe I can entertain you somehow?"

Captain Shirker says that he likes good food, and he heard there's a nice restaurant near the Town Square.

Select Option 1: "Why don't we go there now?"

The Captain is bored on board, and will meet you there.

The Delectable Dab

To reach the restaraunt, you'll need to enter off the western side of Stone Street which is directly north of the town square. The quickest route is by teleporting to the Hopeport Portal Stone via the Teleport Spell, before heading south east through the training ground.

Cutscene Warning: Sit with the Captain at the north western table of the restaurant to trigger an interactive cutscene.

The Waiter appears to take your orders.

Select Option 1: "Waiter can I have the chicken pie please?"

Select Option 2: "Here you go Silver 760 Copper".

The Captain orders the same and some time passes.
