A Leather Helm is piece of Armor for the Hammermage faction, worn in the head slot. All enemies capable of dropping combat equipment have a chance to drop Leather Helms, provided that the player has progressed through the main story to the point where they have chosen a Faction, as before this point only non-faction equipment can be received.
Players who have chosen the Hammermage faction are able to receive Leather Helms in Common, Uncommon, Rare, or Epic Rarity. Players who chose the Guardian or Cryoknight factions will receive Leather Helms much less frequently, and only in Rare rarity, as these items are intended for other factions to use with the Infusion system to make Epic rarity armor for their own faction.
Leather Helms will also be able to be crafted by the Armorer profession, at an item level up to the armorer level of the crafter.
Variants[edit | edit source]
The visual appearance of a Leather Helm is dependent only on its level. Leather Helms crafted by the Armorer profession use different variants of the materials for each different visual appearance of the Leather Helm.
Item | Level | |
---|---|---|
Leather Helm (basic) | 0➨49 | |
Leather Helm (moderate) | 50➨99 | |
Leather Helm (fine) | 100➨199 | |
Leather Helm (strong) | 200➨299 | |
Leather Helm (superior) | 300➨399 | |
Leather Helm (perfect) | 400➨500 |
Dyes[edit | edit source]
Dyes may be applied to Leather Helms at The Color Wheel or City Dyes, which change the colour of some parts of the item without changing the variant or level.
Combat Stats[edit | edit source]
As a piece of Armor, Leather Helms have resistance stats for all 6 damage types. The total resistance of a Leather Helm obeys a rigid formula with no variation:
Where
- is the Item Level
- is the Rarity, expressed as number of stars
This total resistance is divided up between the 6 damage types with some variation for each individual value. Since the armor is for the Hammermage faction, the Arborae resistance will be on average 20 points lower than that of the other damage types. See Armor for a more detailed explanation of how resistances are calculated.
From this formula it can be seen that each increase in Rarity of a Leather Helm is equivalent to 15 additional levels. Thus a Leather Helm at level 0 Epic, at level 15 Rare, at level 30 Uncommon, or at level 45 Common will all have exactly the same total resistance of 370.
