Knowledge is a game mechanic that is unlocked when reaching level 20 in a Profession.
While doing an action that yields Experience, of any kind, except while doing Passive activities, a bar will fill up at a fixed amount dependent on the action (for example, killing any creature in combat yields 3% of a knowledge point). Upon reaching 100% a Knowledge point will be gained which can be spent to unlock a Passive activity. Knowledge points can alternatively be converted into a variable amount of silver, with 12 Silver being the starting base amount or experience for any skill at level 20 or above. Like the silver reward, exp rewards likewise scale with the level of the profession so that it always equates to approximately 25% of the experience requirement for the next level from levels 20-200. Once the level 200 is reached that percentage drops down to ~6.8%. This experience can be boosted by an XP Potion.
Unlocking activities will raise the amount of Knowledge points in that particular Profession, a higher level activity can only be unlocked by unlocking the the previous activities first.
It is currently not possible to save up Knowledge points for later, prompting the player to use it even when they have no activity to unlock.
