Chef is one of the first professions you unlock in Hopeport. The aim of this guide is to inform players as to the best money making methods within Chef, combined with the most efficient route to level up, as well as a few bonus tips and tricks.

Chef can be an easy way to make reliable money early on, even moreso if sourcing most of the ingredients yourself. From level 9 Chef, Bounties can be accessed and are almost guaranteed profit, while also netting yourself extra experience for each bounty completed. This can be found in The Delectable Dab Kitchen.

Efficient leveling up guide[edit | edit source]

The XP/h will vary depending on if you already have the ingredients in storage or if you buy them from Kevin every run. The following guide and rates assume the player will utilise Kevin's shop to buy ingredients.

0-4: Basic Bacon Sandwich, 20.5k Xp/hr.

4-8: Basic Omelette, 23.9k Xp/Hr.

8-25: Basic Vegetable Stew, 29.8k Xp/Hr.

25-63: Appetizing Vegetable Stew, 50.5k Xp/Hr - Can comfortably start using 5% xp potions from this point on, providing it loses only 1 inv space to do so.

OR

25-38: Appetizing Vegetable Stew, 50.5k Xp/Hr

38-63: Fine Bacon Sandwich, 53.5k Xp/Hr.

Note: If the skill you are using Knowledge points on gives you less than 3k, then move to Fine Bacon Sandwiches, however if you gain more than 3k xp, continue doing Appetizing Vegetable Stew as the extra KP gain over the hour will make stew more efficient.

It should also be noted that vegetable stews are somewhat more AFK than bacon sandwiches due to the latter requiring two ingredients and making only half the number of finished dishes as vegetable stew.

Once 63 has been reached,

63-94: Fine Vegetable Stew. 105k Xp/Hr.

94-120: Tasty Bacon Sandwich. 162k Xp/Hr

120+: Tasty Vegetable Stew. 298k Xp/hr

Best profit dishes[edit | edit source]

Appetizing Vegetable Stew is easily one of the best early dishes to make, requiring 25 Chef. Using only 1 ingredient, Appetizing Mixed Vegetables, it has a high profit margin of 341 Copper per dish if sold to the Head Chef, which means a full inventory of 24 will give you Silver 184 Copper in profit.

Fishing for your own supplies is highly profitable, albeit lower profit per hour(?). An example is Rocky Jellied Eels, requiring 22 Chef and 16 Fisher (if catching yourself). Gelatin costs 220 Copper and you can sell the dish for 815 Copper, netting you a profit of 325 Copper if sold to the Head Chef over selling the eels to The Frequently Fresh Fish Stall. A full inventory of 12 will give you Silver 900 Copper in profit.

Another example is Common Fried Ray Wings, requiring 50 Chef and 50 Fisher. This requires no other ingredients, so we are looking at higher profit margins. They can be sold to the Head Chef for 794 Copper each, meaning a full inventory will give you 19 Silver 56 Copper in pure profit. When factoring in the time to obtain the Common Ray, the profit per hour may be less compared to other dishes at a similar level however.

Bounty board[edit | edit source]

The Chef's Bounty Board can be found in The Delectable Dab Kitchen. Every hour, 4 new bounties will be posted and always seem to be around your level. You won't get basic sausage and mash if you have the level to make appetizing sausage and mash. Exactly how much you get paid seems to be based on the amount that is required of you to cook, and how far away that person is from the bounty. Due to the fluctuating rewards, it's impossible to give an estimated copper/hr and exp/hr, but it is worth noting in the guide, as although it is every hour, the rewards can make it worthwhile. Players should only do bounties that call for items they are already making.
