The hourly rates assume that for every inventory of 12 potions, 40 seconds is spent on buying new reagents, moving between stations, and selling potions. This allows for 227 standard potions to be made per hour, or 108 potent potions. Standard potions award a total 1.4% knowledge per potion, and potent potions award 3.0%. These equate to 3.18 knowlege points per hour for standard potions, or 3.24 knowledge points for potent potions.

Alchemist passive activities are of two types: brewing passive potions and performing work for Ebsworth. Passive potions are created using passive potion reagents, and give XP when they are brewed. Ebsworth Work does not use any reagents but does not give any potions, instead awarding XP and coins.
