Bone Boots are a piece of Armor for the Guardian faction, worn in the feet slot. All enemies capable of dropping combat equipment have a chance to drop Bone Boots, provided that the player has progressed through the main story to the point where they have chosen a Faction, as before this point only non-faction equipment can be received.

Players who have chosen the Guardian faction are able to receive Bone Boots in Common, Uncommon, Rare, or Epic Rarity. Players who chose the Hammermage or Cryoknight factions will receive Bone Boots much less frequently, and only in Rare rarity, as these items are intended for other factions to use with the Infusion system to make Epic rarity armor for their own faction.

Bone Boots are also able to be crafted by the Armorer profession, at an item level up to the Armorer level of the crafter.

Variants

The visual appearance of Bone Boots is dependent only on their level. Bone Boots crafted by the Armorer profession use different variants of the materials for each different visual appearance of the Bone Boots.

Combat Stats

As a piece of Armor, Bone Boots have resistance stats for all 6 damage types. The total resistance of Bone Boots obeys a rigid formula with no variation:

Strength=6×L+90×R+10

Where

  • L is the Item Level
  • R is the Rarity, expressed as number of stars

This total resistance is divided up between the 6 damage types with some variation for each individual value. Since the armor is for the Guardian faction, the Cryonae resistance will be on average 20 points lower than that of the other damage types. See Armor for a more detailed explanation of how resistances are calculated.

From this formula it can be seen that each increase in Rarity of Bone Boots is equivalent to 15 additional levels. Thus Bone Boots at level 0 Epic, at level 15 Rare, at level 30 Uncommon, or at level 45 Common will all have exactly the same total resistance of 370.

A list of all different level and rarity combinations of Bone Boots, including their sell values, can be found here:
