Most monsters, skill nodes, items from professions, and recipes have variants. They are a separate part of the name of the object, and are separated from the base name in the title bar by a profession icon.
Higher profession levels unlock variants with more experience, stronger potion effects, or higher coin value. For skill nodes and monsters, the "Past action" option can be used to fight or gather from previous lower-level variants.
