Hopefully this is common sense, but just in case here is a non-exhaustive list:<br><br>• Nothing illegal.<br>• Nothing offensive or toxic or threatening.<br>• Nothing inflammatory (messages likely to make other players angry).<br>• Nothing infringing 3rd party rights.<br>• Nothing adult only.<br>• No automated chat.<br>• No swearing.<br>• No harassment or bullying.<br>• No advertising (except you CAN advertise in-game trades, i.e. trading in-game items/currency for other in-game items).<br>• No scamming (deceiving other players for your own gain, or to maliciously harm them).<br>• No sharing of personal information or passwords.<br>• No asking others for personal information or passwords.<br>• No spamming (posting nonsense, or the same thing over and over again).</div>

**** <div style="background: #000000; color: #CCCCCC; padding: 10px; width: max-content;"><span style="color: #B8AC69;">Rule 2: No cheating</span><br><br>• No deliberate bug abuse.<br>• No macroing (using 3rd party software to control/play the game automatically).<br>• No real world trading (trading in-game items/currency for real world gain).<br>• No using or creating 3rd-party Brighter Shores clients.<br>• No using or creating a modified version of the Brighter Shores client.<br>• No using or creating 3rd-party Brighter Shores servers.<br>• No account sharing (more than one person using the same account, including lending the account to someone else to level up for you).<br>• No multiboxing - i.e. A single person must not login multiple accounts simultaneously. Note: You can HAVE multiple accounts, you just must not log them in at the same time.</div>

**** <div style="background: #000000; color: #CCCCCC; padding: 10px; width: max-content;"><span style="color: #B8AC69;">Rule 4: No hacking</span><br><br>• No unauthorized access of our servers or networks.<br>• No reverse engineering or modifying our software.<br>• No attacking our servers or networks (denial of service, etc...).<br>• No trying to access other peoples' accounts.<br>• No intercepting, modifying or impeding the communications between our client and our servers.<br>• No other disruption or interference with our service.</div>

**** <div style="background: #000000; color: #CCCCCC; padding: 10px; width: max-content;"><span style="color: #B8AC69;">Penalties & Appeals</span><br><br>If you break the rules then the penalty will depend on the nature and severity of the offense, but can include any combination of:<br><br>• Your account or characters being suspended or permanently disabled.<br>• Your privacy settings being locked at maximum (which will prevent various interactions with other players).<br>• Your chat being suspended or permanently disabled.<br>• Segregation from other players.<br>• A daily playtime limit being imposed.<br>• Access to the free version of the game being removed.<br>• Disqualification from the leaderboards.<br>• Trading with other players being disabled.<br>• Disqualification from the PvP leagues.<br>• Being required to rename your character.<br>• Removal of in-game XP or items or currency, etc...<br>• Real world consequences (police, lawyers, etc...).<br><br>If you feel a penalty has been issued in error you may appeal it in-game as follows:<br>a) Open the settings interface.<br>b) Click on the 'View Violations' button.<br>c) Click on the row you wish to appeal.<br>d) Click on the 'OPEN APPEAL' button, and fill in the form.</div>
