This template generates a table of different recipes and activities from data that is stored in the wiki. It is not a dynamic template, no inputs are given to it. This documentation applies to tables for all professions.

==Submitting data to appear in this table==

If you wish to submit a value to the wiki so it appears in this table, please navigate to the page of the item or skill node and enter the value there.
* Most required values have an "edit" button that links directly to the page which needs the value to be submitted.
* The correct page already appears as the first entry on each line in the table, and the name of the item or activity will link directly to it.
* If you have crafted an item and want to enter its XP, duration, or knowledge, then please enter that information in the "Infobox Recipe" on the page of that item.
* If you have gathered an item from a skill node or performed a passive activity, please enter that information in the "Profession Info" on the page of the node or activity.

===I have made the edit, but the changes are not appearing on the table==

Consider the following checks:
* Have you finished saving the page you were editing with the values in it?
** Changes cannot appear until you save your edit.
* Have you refreshed the page with the table on it? 
** Note that this is not refreshing your browser, but prompting the wiki to re-run the code that generates the page. It can be found in the top right "More" menu.
* Have you edited the correct page? 
** Sometimes there are separate pages for an item, and the activity or skill node that creates that item.
* Have you edited the correct activity? 
** Sometimes there are separate activities on one page, when they each happen at the same skill node.
* Have you edited the correct values? 
** Sometimes a paramter in the table requires multiple parameters on the page. For example, XP per hour needs both the xp and duration to be set (and sometimes respawn too).
* Have you edited the all sub-recipes activity? 
** Some recipes have sub-recipes that go toward making the full item, and all steps of the recipe must have values to be able to calculate the whole.
* Are you looking at the correct table? 
** Active and Passive activities are separated into different tables

==I want to enter some data but there isn't a place for it==
These tables are inteded as an overview of different skilling methods, rather than a complete list of everything about them. The amount of space available to display the information is limited, especially if they are viewed on mobile.

* I want to submit XP-per-hour but there isnt a place for it
** Please enter the XP-per-item (making sure you subtract any tool or potion XP bonuses you have), and the table will calculate XP-per-hour automatically

* I want to submit something that makes use of multiple nodes or crafted items
** The tables are to compare different options, not combine them. Please consider instead adding your route to the [[Guide]] for that profession.

* I have submitted my XP-per-item, but the table is showing a different value per hour
** The table modules have fairly simple fomulae for working out how many of that action can be performed per hour, which depends on things like where the item is, how long it takes, and how far it is to a shop, bank, or storage rift. It has to be done this way because of all the different [[Variant]]s of each activity. E.g. any route to chop [[Coarse Ash Log]]s is also by definition a route to chop [[Perfect Ash Log]]s, and any route to brew [[20% Potion Healing]] is also a route to brew '''every other potion'''. Here is what to do:

# Make a strategy subsection for the type of activity you are doing. For the example of ash logs, it would be on the [[Ash Tree]] page. For the example of potions, it would be the main [[Alchemist/Guide]] page.
# Describe the route you take, how long it takes to do a complete cycle, and how many of the action you perform, to work out the actions-per-hour.
# Edit the Module that creates the table to use your new formula for the actions-per-hour, instead of the defalt one. Make sure it only does it for the type of activity you have chosen, and not other activities too.

If this seems more complicated than just entering a number into a table, that's because it is. The different variants are all interconnected in complicated ways, so to be able to properly compare different skilling methods it is needed to be able to adjust everything that results from a change to one of them.
