A '''Stonesheen Hood''' is piece of [[Armor]] for the [[Hammermage]] faction, worn in the head slot. All enemies capable of dropping combat equipment have a chance to drop Stonesheen Hoods, provided that the player has progressed through the main story to the point where they have chosen a [[Faction]], as before this point only non-faction equipment can be received.
Players who have chosen the Hammermage faction are able to receive Stonesheen Hoods in {{Common}}, {{Uncommon}}, {{Rare}}, or {{Epic}} [[Rarity]]. Players who chose the [[Guardian]] or [[Cryoknight]] factions will receive Stonesheen Hoods much less frequently, and only in {{Rare}} rarity, as these items are intended for other factions to use with the [[Infusion]] system to make {{Epic}} rarity shields for their own faction.
Stonesheen Hoods will also be able to be crafted by the [[Armorer]] profession, at an item level up to the armorer level of the crafter.

The visual appearance of a Stonesheen Hood is dependent only on its level. Stonesheen Hoods crafted by the Armorer profession use different variants of the materials for each different visual appearance of the Stonesheen Hood.

As a piece of Armor, Stonesheen Hoods have resistance stats for all 6 damage types. The total resistance of a Stonesheen Hood obeys a rigid formula with no variation:

This total resistance is divided up between the 6 damage tpyes with some variation for each individual value. From this formula it can be seen that each increase in Rarity of a Stonesheen Hood is equivalent to 15 additional levels.
