Fishing Spotted Mackibut is a [[Passive activities|Passive activity]] unlocked with 25 [[Fisher]] and 2 [[Knowledge]]. Fishing for Spotted Mackibut requires a [[Fishing Rod]], [[Grubby Grubs]] for bait and [[Crate|Crates]] to contain them.

Catching Spotted Mackibut takes 20 seconds per action, consumes 0.005 units of bait and awards the player 10 XP and 0.005 units of a full crate (this is despite the item received notification showing each action awarding 0.01 units). Each crate holds 200 catches and takes ~66 minutes to fill for a total of 2000 XP. 

Catching Spotted Mackibut awards 1800 XP per hour.

Once the player reaches 31 [[Fisher]] fishing Spotted Mackibut is reduced to 5 XP per action. Players should instead move to catching [[Ballan Wraddock]].
