The quest can be started by speaking to [[Toblaine]] at the [[Cliffside Path]].

*A high enough [[Scout]] level to fight off two level 35 [[Baby Titan Spider]]s.

==Walkthrough==
*Speak to Toblaine at the Cliffside Path. He will explain the predicament he is in, urging for your help.
*Attempt to climb the cliff and shimmy over the gap in front of the [[Titan Spider]].
*After the spider throws the player off the cliff, [[Alannor]] will mention that it needs [[Tar Rat]]s to distract it.
*[[Hamish Truefire]] (found at the [[Small Clearing]], east of [[Timberwell Green]]) will give me a tar rat if I can make him two anti-acid shields. I will need the following items:
**A [[Golden Marrow]] - There is a Golden Marrow in [[Mr McGrish's Garden]].
***Talk to Mr McGrish in Mr McGrish's Garden. Mr McGrish might let me in if I can show a [[Vegetable Judge Badge]].
***Talk to [[Kedwick Shalstanger]] in [[Huntsman's Clearing]].
****Are you on the fruit and vegetable committee?
****Can I borrow your committee badge?
****I could demonstrate my hunting prowess.
***Run northeast to [[Treeway Junction]] and kill a [[Spriggan]] for a [[Spriggan Claw]].
***Return back to Kedwick Shalstanger and he will give you his Vegetable Judge Badge.
***Take the replacement marrow in Timberwell Green, directly to the north in a garden patch.
***Take the [[Gold Paint]] on [[Timberwell Side Road]].
***Use the [[Gold Paint]] on the replacement marrow to create a [[Painted Marrow]].
***With the Painted Marrow and Vegetable Judge Badge, go to Mr. McGrish's Garden.
****Replace the real Golden Marrow with the replacement marrow.
**Go to the small clearing and talk to Hamish Truefire to obtain the recipe for [[Uncoated Anti-Acid Shield]]s
**A [[Snake Eyeball]] - This can be obtained by killing a [[Common Viper]] at [[Snakes Clearing]] or [[Snakes Path]].
**2 Uncoated Anti-Acid Shields - I need to be at least a level 32 Carpenter to make the shields.
***To make 2 Uncoated Anti-Acid-Shields, 2 Rugged Ash Planks are required.
***Use the planks on the workbench in the Carpenter's Workshop.
**Return to Hamish Truefire's fireplace in the Small Clearing and use the Snake Eyeball and the Golden Marrow on his cauldron.
**From there, use the uncoated acid-shields on his cauldron to create the [[Coated Anti-Acid Shield]]s
**Talk to Hamish again and follow him south.
**[[Marcus Mint]] will appear in a cutscene and introduce the player to the [[Storage Rift|Strange Stones]], as well as teaching them the [[Storage Rift (Spell)|Storage Rift spell]].
**Talk to Hamish and he will allow the player to take one of his tar rats from the fireplace.
**Head back to the spider and talk to Alannor.
**On the west side of the room, the player can find a big flat boulder. Place the tar rat there.
**The spider will be lured to the boulder, where it can be trapped by using tree loppers on the sticky vines next to the boulder.
**Now the player can balance across the cliff.
**Two level 35 Baby Titan Spiders will hatch and attack the player. Fend these off and free Toblaine.
Quest complete!
