The ranged attack will replace the current melee attack in the rotation if used. For example, if the player begins the battle in melee, the Stalker will rotate between their two standard melee attacks as indicated. If the player starts the battle from ranged, or steps back from the Stalker during the fight, the Stalker's melee rotation will progress in the background as usual, but they will substitute attacks in their melee rotation with their ranged attack until the player is within melee range, at which point they will resume their melee rotation.
