For continuation of the Main storyline, you will need to talk to Sammy Clod.

Sammy Clod can be found in the Northwest Mining Cavern. One North-East of the Mine entrance.

Talk to him about particularly shiny amethysts to proceed.

He will tell you to follow a [[Cave Moth|cave moth]], which can be found at the [[Mine Cart Cave]] just west of him.
