Fishing Ridged Herring is a [[Passive activities|Passive activity]] unlocked with 34 [[Fisher]] and 4 [[Knowledge]]. Fishing for Ridged Herring requires a [[Fishing Rod]], [[Blotchy Maggots]] for bait and [[Crate|Crates]] to contain them.

Catching Ridged Herring takes 20 seconds per action, consumes 0.005 units of bait and awards the player 11 XP and 0.005 units of a full crate. Each crate holds 200 catches and takes ~66 minutes to fill for a total of 2200 XP. 

Catching Ridged Herring awards 1980 XP per hour.

Once the player reaches 45 [[Fisher]] fishing Ridged Herring is reduced to 5 XP per action. Players should instead move to catching [[Idle Sturlet]].
