Certain professions have specialized equipment that can only be used within that profession, which are stored in dedicated equipment slots found within the profession's sub-menus; however, not all professions require equipment. Purchasing new profession equipment unlocks new skill nodes and activities, as well as new items to gather or produce.
Buying an upgraded version will increase XP. Another way to improve XP is to enchanted with coins at the Enchantress in Hopeport to offer an incremental experience gain. Enchantments are permanent through upgrades.
Some examples are the Fishing Spear from Fisher, Secateurs from Forager, or the Hand Saw from Woodcutter. Profession equipment currently tends to relate to gathering professions.
