Passive activities are profession-related activities that are available after reaching level 20 in a profession. With passive activities players can continue to train automatically without interaction or while logged out of Brighter Shores. Activities eligible for passive training are marked with a moon icon in the profession unlock list, but first need to be unlocked with a Knowledge point.

Passive activities give less experience and lesser materials or coins than active training and they are capped to 24 hours of continuous offline time. However, when logging in for a couple seconds, the timer will reset giving the full offline time again. It is also recommended to move onto a new passive activity for efficient XP/hr once the required profession level is unlocked as the previous passive activity will begin rewarding halved XP at that level.

When an item is required for a passive activity, one item per hour will be used. Certain required items are generated through other passive activities. It is possible to use partially filled or used items, such as hickory branches.
