* Look for way up waterfall

* Talk to [[Sammy Clod]] in [[Northwest Mining Cavern]] and ask him about amethyst

* Go into the cavern directly west of [[Sammy Clod]] and follow the moth
* Defeat [[Sergeant Boljan]], [[Private Salt]], [[Commander Pluckett]] and [[Private Lomar]]
* Mine the amethyst and give it to the dude to get him to lower the ladder
** Tip: Cast Immunity, get some distance and restart the fight with a ranged weapon.
* Invoke the [[Dryad Leaf]] from your quest inventory while standing next to the [[Glowing Crystal]]
* Find 4 magical artefacts to use on the Corrupted Crystal
** There is magic carried by one who is short of stature, not too far from the crystal.
* Try to open the door directly north of the [[Glowing Crystal]]
*** Talk to Gretel Torrelli in the [[Gnome Forge]], just north of the [[Cave of Crystal]].
* A voice behind the door will unlock it
** Some magic is in a nook in the far west of the mine.
* Enter the room and talk to [[Gretel Torrelli]]
*** Find a [[Glowing Stalagmite]] in the [[Stalagmite Nook]]. Requires 14 [[Miner]].
* After a short cutscene plays, ask her about a glowing material and she will give you [[Glowing Coal]]
** Find some glowing moss.
* Go west to the [[Cockroach Lair]] and kill the [[Glowing Legged Cockroach]]
** Killing it will give you the [[Glowing Cockroach Leg]]
*** Find some [[Glowing Moss]] in the [[Grachnid Cave]].
** Find a glowing cockroach leg
* Navigate to the [[Grachnid Cave]] to collect the [[Glowing Moss]]
*** Kill the [[Glowing Cockroach]] in the [[Cockroach Lair]], just north-west of the crystal.
** To reach the cave moss, the player must step on the correct tiles as shown in the image to the right, as treading on an incorrect tile will force the player to the entrance of the cave and mark the tile with gravel.
* Navigate to the [[Stalagmite Nook]] to mine the [[Glowing Stalagmite]]
* Return to the Corrupted Crystal and use the 4 artefacts on it.
* Return to [[Hopeport]] and debrief [[Captain Jal Degreene]].
* Use each of the glowing items on the [[Glowing Crystal]] to complete the quest.
* Tell [[Lord Brannof]] about the situation, which will start [[The Horn of Hopeport]].
