While gaining [[Experience]] of any kind a bar will fill up depending on the amount of experience, upon reaching 100% a Knowledge point will be gained which can be spent to unlock a [[Passive activities|Passive activity]]. Knowledge points can alternatively be converted into 12 Silver or experience for any skill at level 20 or above. This experience can be boosted by an XP Potion.

It is currently not possible to save up Knowledge points for later, prompting the player to use it even when they have no activity to unlock.
While doing an action that yields [[experience]] of any kind, except while doing [[passive activities]], a bar in the professions [[interface]] will fill up at a fixed amount, dependent on the action. For example, killing the lowest level variant of a creature in combat yields approximately 3% of a knowledge point.


== Hopeport ==
Upon reaching 100%, a knowledge point can either be spent on one of the following rewards:
* Unlocking a [[Passive activities|passive activity]]
** Higher level passive activities for a profession can only be unlocked by unlocking the previous activities first
* A variable amount silver, with 12 silver being the starting base amount.
* Experience for any profession level 20 or above, equating to roughly 25% of the experience between the current and next levels.
** Once level 200 is reached, that percentage drops down to 6.25%.
** This can be boosted by an [[XP potion]].

It is not possible to save a knowledge point for later, prompting the player to use it even when they have no activity to unlock.
