A '''Guard Round Shield''' is piece of [[Armor]] for the [[Guard]] faction, worn in the head slot. All enemies capable of dropping combat equipment have a chance to drop Guard Round Shields, provided that the player has '''NOT''' progressed through the main story to the point where they have chosen a [[Faction]], as after this point only faction equipment can be received. Players are able to receive Guard Round Shields in {{Common}}, {{Uncommon}}, {{Rare}}, or {{Epic}} [[Rarity]].

==Combat Stats==

As a piece of Armor, Guard Round Shields have resistance stats for all 6 damage types. The total resistance of a Guard Round Shield obeys a rigid formula with no variation:

Where

*<math>L</math> is the Item Level

*<math>R</math> is the Rarity, expressed as number of stars

This total resistance is divided up between the 6 damage types with some variation for each individual value. See [[Armor]] for a more detailed explanation of how resistances are calculated.

From this formula it can be seen that each increase in Rarity of a Guard Round Shield is equivalent to 15 additional levels. Thus a Guard Round Shield at level 0 {{Epic}}, at level 15 {{Rare}}, at level 30 {{Uncommon}}, or at level 45 {{Common}} will all have exactly the same total resistance of '''390'''.
