Guard's Plumbatae is a Ranged weapon for the Guard profession.
Guard's Plumbatae is a one-handed ranged Weapon with an attack speed of 1.875 seconds. Unqiue amongst all weapons, the Plumbatae can spawn in any of element: , , , , or . All enemies capable of dropping combat equipment have a chance to drop Guard's Plumbatae, provided that the player has NOT progressed through the main story to the point where they have chosen a Faction, as after this point only faction equipment can be received. Players are able to receive Common, Uncommon, Rare, or Epic Guard's Plumbatae.

Variants & Ammo by Variant
Carthian Plumbatae are a unqiue version of Guard's Plumbatae, which always have level 30, Rare rarity, and . The only differences are the name and description.

Combat Stats
Tips
As with the bow, if you start a fight above 5 tiles away vs a melee monster, you can throw all 4 whilst walking backwards to allow for maximum damage output before being hit by the monster.
All Guard's Plumbatae attack at a speed of 1.875 seconds, and as one-handed weapons can be wielded alongside a Shield. They all deal damage, with a chance to convert the damage to its chosen element. The weapon strength and elemental chance of Guard's Plumbatae obey the following formulae:

The Guard's Plumbatae will not automatically switch back to your melee weapon after throwing all 3 or 4, so try not to be distracted whilst throwing them.
:<math>\text{Strength} = L + 15R + [0-2] </math>
:<math>\text{Chance} = [30-49]% </math>

There is random variation in the stats for Guard's Plumbatae, determined by the terms <math>[0-2]</math> for the strength and <math>[30-49]</math> for the elemental chance. Generally, a weapon with a lower roll on the chance will have a higher roll for the strength.

From this formula it can be seen that each increase in Rarity of Guard's Plumbatae is equivalent to 15 additional levels. Thus a Guard's Plumbata at level 0 Epic, at level 15 Rare, at level 30 Uncommon, or at level 45 Common will all have the same minimum combat strength of 60.

Common and Uncommon Guard's Plumbatae have 3 ammunition, whereas Rare and Epic Guard's Plumbatae have 4 ammunition.

The strongest possible Guard's Plumbata is a level 50 Epic Guard's Plumbata with a maximum damage roll, which has the following stats (availabe in all elemnts, not just Infernae):

A list of all different level and rarity combinations of Guard's Plumbatae, including their sell values, can be found here.
