'''Cunning Pirate''' is a variant of a [[Pirate]] that players can [[Passive|passively]] fight with the [[Guard]] profession at level 152 and 28 [[File:Knowledge icon.png|18x18px]] knowledge, requiring a strength 172 Hopeport weapon. Killing a Cunning Pirate takes approximatly 20 seconds, and rewards the player with coins and XP for each kill. Using a stronger Hopeport weapon will result in faster individual kills, but the XP-per-hour and and coins-per-hour remain the same. XP will be reduced by the [[Experience#Passive_activity_penalty|passive XP penalty]] when the player's Guard level is too high. There are 5 unique appearances of Pirates that have identical stats.
