Chuncrates is an NPC found reclined in Chuncrates Chamber, with a book in one hand and a snack in the other. Corruption magic recently turned his skin blotchy and purple, but unlike his fellow goblins the magic enhanced his gluttony rather than his anger.

Trivia

  • His name is a portmanteau of the word "chunky," meaning overweight, and the name "Socrates," a Greek philosopher, referencing his affinities for food and knowledge, respectively.
  • Upon entering his chamber he may be holding one of three foods in his right hand:
    • Cheese wedge
    • Green apple
    • Cinnamon roll
  • When greeting Chuncrates, he responds with famous proverbs and philosophical quotes, but altered on account of his gluttonous appetite.
    • "I'm pink therefore I'm spam.": "I think, therefore I am." -René Descartes
    • "Twenty apples a day keeps even more doctors away.": "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." -English proverb
    • "Happiness is not an ideal of reason, but of lunch.": "Happiness is not an ideal of reason, but of imagination." -Immanuel Kant
    • "If life gives you lemons, eat them.": "If life gives you lemons, make lemonade." -English proverb
    • "Time is an illusion. Except for lunchtime.": "Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so." -Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
    • "What is rations is actual and what is actual is rations.": "What is rational is actual, what is actual is rational." -Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel.
