During the 2024 Christmas event, players can collect up to 20 unique hats while doing active activities that reward knowledge. Hats are obtained at fixed intervals, with 3 hats being rewarded for every 2 knowledge gained (approximately 67% knowlege per hat). Passive activities do not reward knowledge, and thus no Christmas hats. The type of hat is random and does not reflect anything in particular about the player or the activity they are performing. For example, it is also possible to receive a duplicate hat, which can be swapped with another player. An infinite amount of multiples of each hat can be collected. The event will end in early January 2025, after which it will no longer be possible to collect the Christmas 2024 hats.

Collected hats are stored in a specific transmog inventory and do not use a player's normal inventory or banking slots. They offer no stat bonuses and are purely cosmetic, able to be applied over the player's head slot using the transmog system. The transmog system was first released together with this event.

Swapping hats

Christmas hats from the event can be traded 1-to-1 with another player using the Nearby Players section of the Community interface or in the chat. The Christmas hat each player is currently wearing is the one that they will trade.

Hats

There are four types of hats that come in five different colors each. There are 20 different hats, so 1333.33% (13⅓) knowledge must be collected to be able to have at least one of all hats, after swapping duplicates.

Elf Hats
	Purple Elf Hat	If you have elf respect, wear this hat.
	Green Elf Hat	Improve your elf esteem with a green hat.
	Blue Elf Hat	Give yourself some elf validation with the blue hat.
	Red Elf Hat	Give yourself some elf motivation with this fun Christmas hat.
	Yellow Elf Hat	Feel elf confident in this bright elf hat.
Pudding Hats
	Red Christmas Pudding Hat	The pompom is like a giant holly berry.
	Blue Christmas Pudding Hat	Wear this. Don't eat it.
	Yellow Christmas Pudding Hat	A Happy little pudding hat.
	Orange Christmas Pudding Hat	The orange berry you get on some desserts is called a physalis.
	White Christmas Pudding Hat	A pudding hat with a snowy white pompom.
Santa Hats
	Red Santa Hat	Red is Santa's favorite color.
	Fuchsia Santa Hat	Santa, but with an alternative color, which is definitely not pink.
	Blue Santa Hat	If Santa was a Cryoknight, he'd pick this hat.
	Green Santa Hat	Green used to be Santa's favorite color. Then he changed his mind.
	Black Santa Hat	If Christmas is too bright and colorful for you, try this hat.
Christmas Tree Hats
	Red Christmas Tree Hat	If you wear this hat, maybe someone will try to hide some presents under it.
	Yellow Christmas Tree Hat	Put on this tree hat and hide in Hopeforest.
	Blue Christmas Tree Hat	A tree hat with blue decorations.
	Orange Christmas Tree Hat	This tree has been decorated with little oranges.
	Pink Christmas Tree Hat	Feel Tree-mendous in this stylish hat.
