Enemy Drop Rarity
It seems like there's some confusion around whether the {{DropsLine}}
rarity should be the item's quality (common, uncommon, rare, epic) or the droprate (as it is on rsw). Some have seemingly been inputting the rarity param as quality like on Scruffy Thief (where Sling is listed twice, once with 'common' and once with 'epic'), and all the other rarities look to just be copying the item's quality rather than determining an actual droprate for that item. It's my understanding that if an enemy drops an item of any quality, then it's possible for that same enemy to drop that same item of any other quality (i.e. if you get a common leather helm, then it's also possible to get a rare one) just at a rarer droprate, though maybe I'm incorrect in that assumption? I've been leaving the rarity as unknown, treating it more as a droprate column like rsw does, but {{DropsLine}}
probably needs something to also deal with the quality of the drops, to avoid the confusion for editors between droprate and quality. Should each individual quality of a drop be separately listed, or should the item only be listed once? Additionally, and I'm not quite sure of this yet, but it *seems* like the drops might change depending on which class you've selected, after you've gotten to that point in Hopeforest, as I've been getting completely different drops from what was already listed on a few enemy pages and haven't seen any of the drops that were already listed.
Infobox and NPC/Monster page questions
Hey InvalidCards,
I have a couple of questions for the Wiki Admin team:
- Many of the Infobox layouts for monsters (e.g. Goblin, Wendigo, etc) have HP and XP values stated, though these values change with the varied types these monsters appear in. Should these sections of the Infoboxes for the monsters' type page be removed?
- How should NPCs and monsters with the same name (e.g. Thief which is an NPC and a type of monster with different variants) be separated? Which would take precedence as the main page?
Thanks!
