Active monsters must be fought by the player while they remain online, and can be separated into neutral and [[aggressive]] monsters. The names of neutral monsters are displayed in orange, and they will not attack the player until provoked.

Unlike neutral monsters, the names of aggressive monsters are displayed in red and they will attempt to attack any player not affected by [[Immunity]] on sight, within a range of 5 tiles in any direction, with a few exceptions. It is recommended to bring [[Fear|Fear Potions]] to avoid unwanted encounters entirely.
After killing an aggressive monster, the player will be granted 30 seconds of Immunity, which will begin to tick down if certain actions are performed. Once the timer reaches zero, another aggressive monster will automatically attempt to engage the player in combat.
