(Reverted change, knowledge exp is NOT dependent on XP gained from an action. This may be the case for very early levels however at later levels this becomes evident once tens of thousands of exp is gained per action. Each action yields differing amounts of knowledge exp however the underlying mechanism isn't fully understood due to hidden decimals.)

Knowledge is a game mechanic that is unlocked when reaching level 20 in a Professionprofession.

While doing an action that yields Experienceexperience of any kind, except while doing Passivepassive activities, a bar will fill up at a fixed amount, dependent on the action (for example, killing anythe tierlowest 1level variant of a creature in combat yields approximately 3% of a knowledge point). Upon reaching 100% a Knowledge point will be gained which can be spent to unlock a Passive activity. Knowledge points can alternatively be converted into a variable amount of silver, with 12 Silver being the starting base amount, or experience for any skill at level 20 or above. Like the silver reward, exp rewards likewise scale with the level of the profession, so that it always equates to approximately 25% of the experience requirement for the next level from levels 20-200. Once level 200 is reached, that percentage drops down to 6.25%. This experience can be boosted by an XP Potion.

Upon reaching 100%, a knowledge point can either be spent on one of the following rewards:
Unlocking activities will raise the amount of Knowledge points in that particular Profession, a higher level activity can only be unlocked by unlocking the previous activities first.

* A variable amount silver, with 12 silver being the starting base amount.
* Experience for any profession level 20 or above, equating to roughly 25% of the experience between the current and next levels.
** Once level 200 is reached, that percentage drops down to 6.25%.
** This can be boosted by an XP potion.
